1. Make sure the DMA is properly inserted in a PCIe slot on the Gaming-PC.
2. Make sure that the Gaming-PC is powered on.
3. Plug the DMA USB-Cable into the "Update" port or "JTAG" on the DMA Card and the other end into the 2nd-PC.
4. Go into the Flash Tools folder and open "zadig-2.8.exe".
5. In Zadig open "Options" - Tick "List All Devices" and select
"Quad RS232-HS (Interface 0)"
-> It is important that you select "Interface 0"!
-> If you do not see the "Quad RS232-HS" options and instead see a "FTDI SuperSpeed-FIFO Bridge" it most likely means that you are plugged in the Data port and not the Update Port.
・Make sure the driver where the arrow is pointing at says WinUSB ("Version number") and press Replace Driver.
-> Make sure that it says that the installation was successful and it looks like the after picture.
6. Go into the OCD folder.
Copy your firmware file into the “Ocd” folder that’s within the Flash Tools folder &
RENAME the firmware .bin file to “pcileech_squirrel_top.bin”
Double click flash.bat file →Might take up to 5 minutes.
Make sure it looks like in the picture below!
7. After Shows Shutdown Command invoked in the last line, it is complete and exit out of the cmd window
8. Then do a full reboot on the main and 2nd pc(shut down, wait 30 seconds, switch over to the data port & then power the pc’s back on)
9. After powering back on, redownload the FTD3X driver onto the 2nd pc, and make sure it shows at FT601 in device manager on the second pc.
