This method turns off Windows Defender temporarily but will automatically turn back on after a reboot.
Open Windows Security:
Press Win + S
, type Windows Security, and open it.
Go to Virus & Threat Protection:
In the left-hand menu, select Virus & threat protection.
Disable Real-Time Protection:
Click Manage settings under Virus & threat protection settings.
Toggle Real-time protection to Off.
Press Win + R to open the "Run" dialog, type regedit, and press Enter.
In the Registry Editor window, navigate to the following key: If the Windows Defender key does not exist, you will need to create it. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
Right-click on the Windows Defender key, select "New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value," and name it DisableAntiSpyware.
Double-click on DisableAntiSpyware, set the "Value data" to 1, and click OK.
Close the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
Press Win + R to open the "Run" dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.
In the "Services" window, find and double-click on "Security Center" (or "Windows Defender Security Center" in newer versions).
In the "Properties" window, set the "Startup type" to "Disabled," then click "Apply" and "OK."
Restart your computer to apply the changes.
