Not Enough Storage / Wrong Drive

Step 1 β€” Check Your Available Disk Space

Open File Explorer and click This PC in the left sidebar. Check the drive where Rocket League and RiftLoader are installed. You need at least 10 GB of free space for RiftLoader to download its dependencies.

⚠️ If your drive has less than 10 GB free, RiftLoader may fail to download or install correctly.

Step 2 β€” Free Up Disk Space

Delete files you no longer need, empty the Recycle Bin, and uninstall any unused programs. You can also use the built-in Windows Disk Cleanup tool: right-click your drive in File Explorer β†’ Properties β†’ Disk Cleanup.

Step 3 β€” Move Rocket League to Your Main Drive (C:)

If Rocket League is installed on a secondary drive (D:, E:, etc.), try moving it to your main C: drive where Windows is installed. This can resolve certain compatibility issues.

πŸ’‘ Steam: Right-click Rocket League β†’ Properties β†’ Installed Files β†’ Move install folder. Epic Games: You may need to uninstall and reinstall Rocket League, selecting the C: drive as the destination.
