"Fetching Latest Bot Version" Error

Step 1 β€” Delete the Old RiftBot.dll

Navigate to your Rocket League installation folder, open Binaries\Win64, and delete the file named RiftBot.dll (it will be near RocketLeague.exe).

πŸ’‘ Default Steam path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rocketleague\Binaries\Win64

Step 2 β€” Open the Rift Resources Folder

Press Win + R, type %localappdata%, and press Enter. Open the Rift folder, then navigate into the resources subfolder.

C:\Users\<your_name>\AppData\Local\Rift\resources

Step 3 β€” Fix the LibTorch Files

If there is a libtorch.zip file in the resources folder:

  1. Delete the libtorch folder (not the .zip)

  2. Right-click libtorch.zip and select "Extract Here"

⚠️ Do not delete libtorch.zip β€” only delete the libtorch folder. You will need an extraction tool such as 7-Ziparrow-up-right or WinRAR to extract it.

Step 4 β€” Try Again

Start Rocket League and wait until you are fully in the lobby. Then right-click RiftLoader.exe and select Run as administrator. It should now work correctly.

Step 5 β€” If It Still Fails: Run authfix.bat

Download and run the authfix.bat script as Administrator. It will automatically fix network issues, add Windows Defender exclusions, and re-download LibTorch if needed.

πŸ’‘ Right-click authfix.bat and select "Run as administrator" β€” it will not work correctly without elevated permissions.
