Rift is active but the bot doesn't play (GPU issue)
Step 1 β Restart Your PC
The simplest fix first. Restarting clears GPU memory and resets your graphics driver. Try this before anything else.
Step 2 β Update Your NVIDIA Driver
An outdated driver is one of the most common causes. Visit the NVIDIA Driver Download Page, select your GPU model, and download the latest Game Ready Driver (GRD).
π‘ Not sure which GPU you have? Press Win + R, type dxdiag, press Enter, then click the Display tab β your GPU name is listed there.
Step 3 β Install the NVIDIA Driver
Run the downloaded .exe file, select Express Installation, and wait for it to finish. Restart your PC once complete.
π‘ The NVIDIA installer is an .exe file β no extraction needed, just run it directly.
Step 4 β Close GPU-Intensive Apps
Before launching Rocket League, close the following:
Chrome / Edge β both use GPU acceleration by default
π‘ To disable Hardware Acceleration in Chrome: Settings β System β turn off "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Step 5 β Check Your Rocket League Settings
Make sure your in-game video settings are optimized for the bot. Set quality to Performance and disable Anti-Aliasing and Ambient Occlusion to free up GPU resources. See the recommended configuration on the dedicated settings page.
Step 6 β Check Your GPU Temperature
Download MSI Afterburner or HWiNFO (both free) and monitor your GPU temperature while playing.
β οΈ Temperatures above 85Β°C can cause the bot to stop working and may damage your GPU over time. If you're hitting this threshold, check your cooling setup.
Step 7 β Check Available VRAM
Rift requires at least 2 GB of free VRAM to function. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) β Performance β GPU and check Dedicated GPU memory usage. Close background applications if VRAM usage is too high.
